Nature of the Work
The project consists of three potable water pump stations that consist of 17 high lift pumps. The water from the intermediate storage depot is pumped to the main stream line. Piomak replaced all manual operating valves by actuator controlled valves and added the necessary instrumentation to control and monitor the water flow.
A total of 1.040 input/output control signals in three PLC Control Cabinets are integrated into the SCADA front-end computer, which controls the pump stations locally, as well as remotely from the ISKI SCADA and Telemetry center in Istanbul. All events and alarms are reported; pumps are operated for equal periods and turn to standby automatically. The LAN communication system is structured by DH-485 lines and leased line modems. The installed new system communicates with the existing SCADA center in Istanbul with wireless links.
