Nature of the Work
The work furnished by Piomak compromised the design, engineering, supply, installation, and commissioning of all mechanical, electrical, and automation equipment intended for the renovation and upgrade of Al Sahafa Pumping Station (50.000 m³/day), Al Bahri Water Treatment Plant Intake (180.000 m³/ day) and High Lift Pumping Stations.
Piomak provided turnkey construction work including design, engineering, supply, installation and commissioning of all mechanical, electrical, and automation equipment intended for the new water reservoir with a capacity of 14.000 m³, and a new 50.000 m3/day water pumping station at Ud Ba Bekir location.
Engineering, supply, civil and installation works of a 14.000 m Ø 700 water main steel pipeline starting from Al Bahri WTP to the new reservoir and pumping stations.
All pumping stations, with a total capacity of 150.000 m³, were equipped with a Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition System (SCADA) for proper interlocking and ensuring safe operation of the pumps as well as to record all statistical and operational data requested for operation and maintenance.
The total project was financed by the Export Bank of Turkey – EximBank.
