Nature of the Work
Piomak completed the extension plant at Al Mogran Potable Water Treatment (WTP), intended for Khartoum State Water Cooperation (KSWC).
The new plant, which is located in the city of Khartoum, added a new capacity of 45.000 m³/day of potable water to the already existing 90.000 m³/ day plant.
With the Al Mogran WTP design and built project, Piomak also upgraded the total intake structure as to combine the supply of raw water taken from the Blue Nile River to feed both the old and new parts of the plant, with a raw water pumping and conveying capacity of 150.000 m³/Sday.
The scope of the contract also foresaw a new integrated disinfestation and chlorination system to cope with a total capacity of 135.000 m³/day of clear water.
