Nature of the Work
BOTAŞ Kirkuk – Yumurtalık Crude Oil Pipeline, which was commissioned in 1975, has since then operated to transmit North Iraqi crude oil to the Mediterranean Sea. In Phase I, the pipeline was 986 km long and in Phase II it was 890 km long. Its purpose was to serve Iraq’s export of 76 million tons of crude oil per year.
Within the scope of the project, Piomak successfully implemented the software, hardware, and field measurement devices needed for the pipeline process and provided both the pipeline’s utilities full automation and ensured the highest safety level.
